One postdoctoral research position is available to conduct research in the laboratory of Dr. Patricia Stock in the Department of Entomology at the University of Arizona. The project deals with the study of active compounds from symbiotic bacteria of entomopathogenic nematodes, as a bio-rational control strategy of agricultural insect pests and plant-pathogens.
Qualifications: Applicants should be US citizen or permanent resident, have a PhD in entomology, microbiology, biochemistry or a related area. In particular, candidates should have research experience with insect physiology, bacteria secondary metabolites, metabolomics, bioinformatics. Applicants should have no more than two previous years of postdoctoral experience at the time application is made.
